She has won first prizes and achieved placements in various competitions as a soloist including the Yamaha Piano Festival, the Beten Piano Competition in Japan, Rizzardo Bino International Competition, the Concorso Internazionale Città di Villafranca in Italy.
She has played Piano Concerto with the Poland Krakow Chamber music orchestra and she received enthusiastic acclaim for her concert performances as both a soloist and accompanist in Japan, Europe, and Russia. She made her name with a series of concerts, most notably in the Music Culture Centre in Moscow, Rubinstein Museum of Big Hall of Moscow conservatory, and the Rachmaninov Hall.
She has performed in the New Year’s Concert for Vocal Music from 2015 to 2020 at the Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, and has given a series of recitals with various singers. During the pandemic she was invited to a series of festivals by Gifu Prefecture in Japan and she ended their festival with her solo recital at the Cultural Centre. Other concerts supported by prefecture were broadcast on national television. She performed as a repetiteur with the Lyric Opera Studio Weimar in Die Zauberflöte and Le nozze di Figaro.
Ayumi Hirata was born in Japan and received her Bachelor’s in piano at the Toho conservatory in Tokyo with Kooryeong Park, before studying for her Masters Degree at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow under the guidance of Eliso Virsaladze and Jacob Katsnelson in solo class, Mikhail Nikeschichev in Vocal-opera accompaniment and Sergei Voronov in Chamber music. In addition, she took part in a series of masterclasses with various renowned pianists su ch as Michail Voskresensky, Eric Heidsieck, and Dina Yoffe.
