Daria Rybak is a Swiss lirico-spinto soprano, praised for her rich dark timbre and growing dramatic colour, which allow her to portray lyric heroines with depth and emotional intensity - making her one of the most captivating vocal talents of her generation.

 

Her diverse repertoire includes leading roles such as Violetta in La Traviata, Liù in Turandot, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus, Mimì and Musetta in La Bohème, Micaëla in Carmen, as well as the soprano solo in Verdi’s Messa di Requiem. In 2022, she made her Italian debut in a Verona Lirica concert and has since continued to perform worldwide at prestigious venues and festivals, including the Teatro Real in Madrid, Arena di Verona, Vienna Konzerthaus, Moscow Conservatory (Grand Hall), Macerata Festival, Klassik am Dom in Linz, Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku, and the Ravello Festival.

The young soprano has collaborated with prominent conductors and performed alongside some of the most celebrated artists in the field. Her recent career highlights include her debut as Liù under the baton of Michele Spotti, alongside Gregory Kunde (Calaf), as well as her debut as Micaëla under Leonardo Sini, performing with Freddie De Tommaso (Don José) and Aigul Akhmetshina (Carmen) at the Arena di Verona. She has performed with Plácido Domingo at the Reggia di Caserta and in his gala at the Arena di Verona. She recently appeared at the Teatro Real’s season opening gala, sharing the stage with the legendary Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov under the direction of Denis Vlasenko. Additionally, she made her debut at the Performing Arts Centre in Taipei, singing Musetta in La Bohème under Marco Boemi. Her most recent career highlight is her debut as MimÌ in La Bohème at the Alisher Navoi State Opera in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) under the baton of Michelangelo Mazza.

 

Her musical journey began at the Montreux-Vevey-Riviera Conservatoire, where she developed her singing and piano skills from an early age. She made her debut as Frasquita in Carmen at the Montreux Jazz Festival at just 16 years old, marking the beginning of her professional career. During her pre professional conservatoire studies in Switzerland, she won many prizes and awards including the 1st prize at the CSJM competition in 2011 and 2013. She furthered her education at the Royal College of Music in London, where she was awarded the Opperby Stokowski scholarship prize and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2018. In 2020, she was the winner of the Migros-Kulturprozent study prize. Since 2022, she has been studying with the world-renowned tenor Yusif Eyvazov.
